Professional technologist
Sara Manellari is a technologist at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Milan. After graduation in Pharmacy in 2020, she obtained a scholarship in the pharmaceutical legislative field through which she deepened her knowledge of legal provisions foreseen by both European and national legislation related to medicines for human use, medical devices and innovative therapies. She also explored the aspects relating to the critical issues associated with the quality of medicines (stability studies, storage, preparation of medicines in pharmacy, etc.). Currently, she is working on a research project named NATIONAL CENTER FOR GENE THERAPY AND DRUGS BASED ON RNA TECHNOLOGY whose thematic area is the development of gene therapies and RNA-based therapeutic. She is studying innovative drugs with the aim to lay down guidelines within the regulatory framework to classify and authorise the marketing of nanomedicines and to define the critical qualitative features of RNA-based medicines for comparability studies and elaborate regulatory guidelines on RNA-based medicine quality and comparability.
