Sara Azari received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine’s degree from the Islamic Azad University (Iran) in 2020, with a thesis in toxicology and histopathology titled “Study of the Effect of Cinnamaldehyde on Heart and Muscle Lesions Caused by Zinc Oxide in Cyprinus carpio”.
In 2021 after a brief period working for a pharmaceutical company in Tehran (Iran), she began her master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Milan, focusing on the regulatory aspects of RNA-based medicinal products. Her master’s thesis, titled “Nucleic Acid-Based Medicinal Products: State of The Art and Regulatory Issues” examined the challenges in the marketing authorization pathway for RNA-based medicines, with a detailed analysis of the profiles of RNA-based Medicines approved or refused by the EMA and FDA, as well as post-marketing variations to the terms of marketing authorization for approved RNA-based drugs.
