Giorgia Frigerio

Giorgia Frigerio started her PhD program in 2022 focusing her research on biorelevant release testing of long-acting injectables designed for parenteral administration. Prior her doctoral journey, she completed a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in 2022 at the University of Milan. Her Master’s thesis centered around the short-term stability of lipid nanoparticles stored in prefilled syringes. She pursued her Bachelor Degree in Herbal Sciences and Technology at the University of Milan in 2018 and her thesis regarded the development of micellar systems for the transdermal delivery of epigallocatechin gallate.

In terms of professional experiences, after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree, Giorgia undertook a four-month Postgraduate Internship at the University of Milan, where she conducted research on in vitro skin permeation using Franz diffusion cells. Subsequently, she gained two years of valuable experience working in a cosmetic and medical device company, initially as a QC manager and later in roles within the R&D department, where she contributed to the development of cosmetic and medical devices.
