Giulia Magri earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Milan in 2019. Her research focused on developing new biodegradable materials that remain stable during sterilization for creating nano- and micro-particles as drug delivery systems. During her Ph.D. journey, she also spent time at the University of Bath (UK) as a visiting post-graduate scholar, studying the impact of various biorelevant fluids on drug release from polymeric microparticle systems.
After working in the R&D department of ab medica, an Italian medical device company, Giulia Magri is currently the head of the quality and regulatory affairs office at Confindustria Dispositivi Medici, the Italian trade association for the medical device industry. Her daily responsibilities primarily involve supporting the industry in implementing medical device and in vitro diagnostic regulations, as well as engaging in advocacy and lobbying activities.
