Khalid Garba Mohammed, PhD

Khalid obtained the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Milan in 2021. His PhD thesis focused on comparative study of preparation methods for orodispersible films by solvent casting and a novel 3D printing technology for personalized dosing. During his PhD, he was awarded the prestigious Congress Travel grant by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) to the 79th FIP World Congress held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in September 2019.

Khalid is currently a Senior Formulation Scientist at FABRX Ltd, a spinout biotech company based at the University College London which specialises in pharmaceutical 3D printing. At the same time, he is sandwiched as a Visiting Scientist at the University College London School of Pharmacy. At FABRX, he is responsible for early-stage formulation development, pre-clinical stage, and clinical-stage formulation development of pharmaceutical dosage forms made by different 3D printing technologies.

Before joining FABRX, he was a Postdoc Research Fellow at Queen’s University Belfast United Kingdom, a Lecturer at Bayero University Kano, Nigeria, and a Resource Person at PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited (PwC), Nigeria.
