Paola Volontè graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 2021 at the University of Milan, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her master thesis was focused on the evaluation of the impact of the new draft of the EMA’s guideline on quality and equivalence of topical products on the design and development of a cream containing ibuprofen. She attended two master courses in design and production of sterile pharmaceutical forms and in regulatory aspects of medical devices, cosmetics, and food integrators. In 2021 she started her PhD programme on innovative green topics. In particular, her work is concerned with the evaluation of pharmaceutical and cosmetic use of excipients obtained from citrus processing waste products and in the preparation of orodispersable film based on vegetable material.
