Fixed-term Research Fellow B
Umberto M. Musazzi held a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology and legislation in 2014 and is currently a Fixed-term Research Fellow B at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Milan (Italy). Based on the education training and the professional experiences, he has gained an in-depth knowledge on the design and the characterization of both (trans)dermal, and oromucosal/orodispersible drug delivery systems. In 2012, he was visiting graduated student at the University of Missouri – Kansas City (USA), where he investigated the criticisms related to the drug delivery to cochlea for treating inner ear disorders. At the moment, his research activity is focused on integrating the development of innovative formulations and preparation processes into the regulatory framework on healthcare products to rationalize the design of medicinal products, or other healthcare products (i.e., medical devices, cosmetics, food supplements) and to improve regulatory standards for their quality control.
